WABC will offer more “Eyewitness News at Noon”, starting Sept. 8th.

FIRST ON THE BLOGNew York’s #1 News… Channel 7 Eyewitness News is expanding. Now that Katie is gone, WABC 7 has announced FIRST through 7Online.com that Channel 7 Eyewitness News at Noon will be expanding to an hour starting September 8th. Of course, you’ll get to see more of Ken, Lori and Bill, plus more midday news as it will become N.Y.C.’s ONLY hour-long noon newscast. The lineup is shaken up a bit but more for good as 2 programs replaces Katie and here’s the new lineup that they are promoting starting September 8th:

  • 12:00 p.m. – Channel 7 Eyewitness News at Noon
  • 1:00 p.m. – The Chew
  • 2:00 p.m. – Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? (with new host Terry Crews; moves from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.)
  • 2:30 p.m. – Jeopardy! (adds a daytime repeat, continues at 7:00 p.m.)
  • 3:00 p.m. – General Hospital (moves from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.)
  • 4:00 p.m. – Channel 7 Eyewitness News, First at 4:00
  • 5:00 p.m. – Channel 7 Eyewitness News at 5:00
  • 6:00 p.m. – Channel 7 Eyewitness News at 6:00
  • 6:30 p.m. – ABC World News with Diane Sawyer (again, gonna be replaced by David Muir)

WCBS 2 and WNBC 4 does news at noon for half-hour. So for WABC 7 to go for an hour at noon, that’s great news!
