KNTV goes to an hour for News at Midday.

KNTV 11 / San Jose – San Francisco – Oakland (“NBC Bay Area”)

FIRST ON THE BLOG: Say it ain’t so. It has finally happened in San Francisco. Question was: Who would do it? Answer: KNTV 11.

KNTV 11 has recently expanded their midday newscast to an hour. NBC Bay Area News Midday is now on from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and is now San Francisco’s ONLY hour-long midday newscast, period. Whether it’s 11:00 a.m. or 12:00 noon, KNTV 11 has the ONLY hour-long midday newscast in the Bay Area, as KGO 7 still does theirs for half-hour at 11:00 a.m. and competing with KNTV 11’s now hour-long 11:00 a.m. newscast while KTVU 2 and KPIX 5 compete for News at Noon for half-hour. The newscast is anchored by Peggy Bunker and Scott McGrew with Weather from Meteorologist (and former WFOR 4 / Miami traffic reporter) Christina Loren.

I think I knew this would happen at some point. It’s about time it’s done with.
