We already knew when WTTV will broadcast their newscasts… We just waited till it was official.

WTTV 4 / Indianapolis and WTTK 29 / Kokomo (“CBS 4”) / WTTV’s new logo, starting January 1st.

The title says it all.

We waited till the official schedule for the brand new WTTV 4, which will become CBS in 2015, would come out. And here we are… WTTV 4 will debut a full-slate of traditional newscasts under regular newscasts times. The only thing though is that WTTV 4 will be the latest to start their morning newscast, as well as becoming the ONLY station in the market to not have any weekend morning newscasts, but of course it’s only the start of their news operations and also because WTTV 4’s news operations are housed at the same as WXIN 59’s news operations. But anyhow, here’s the schedule:

Weekdays – starting January 1st:

  • 5:00-6:00 AM: CBS 4 Morning News at 5:00 a.m.
  • 6:00-7:00 AM: CBS 4 Morning News at 6:00 a.m.
  • 12:00-12:30 PM: CBS 4 News at Noon (1 of 2 newscasts that would only be on WTTV 4 and not on WXIN 59)
  • 5:00-6:00 PM: CBS 4 News at 5:00
  • 6:00-6:30 PM: CBS 4 News at 6:00
  • 11:00-11:35 PM: CBS 4 News at 11:00

Weekends – starting January 2nd:

  • 6:00-6:30 PM: CBS 4 News at 6:00 (1 of 2 newscasts that would only be on WTTV 4 and not on WXIN 59)
  • 11:00-11:35 PM: CBS 4 News at 11:00

That’s the brand new logo by the way for WTTV 4 that will debut on January 1st on Television, the same day that WISH-TV 8 will go Independent and start broadcasting their expanded newscast schedule.

We just can’t wait for WTTV 4 to get it started. WTTV 4 and CBS = January 1st, 2015.
