KOLO now says “Good Morning Reno” at 4:30 a.m.

FIRST ON THE BLOG: The 4:30 a.m. early news expansions have been going on for years. It continues in 2014.

Recently, KOLO 8 has expanded it’s weekday morning newscast, KOLO 8 News NOW Good Morning Reno to 4:30 a.m. This newscast now offers 2 & a 1/2 hours of local news from 4:30-7:00 a.m. and is just the second station, after KTVN 2’s Channel 2 Morning News to expand to 4:30 a.m. which just leaves KRNV 4’s News 4 Today to still start at 5:00 a.m. The newscast is anchored by Amanda Sanchez and Dave Lawrence with KOLO 8 First Alert Weather from Meteorologist Lindsey Matherly.

Within the ONLY 2 TV markets covering the state, Las Vegas and Reno, everybody now airs news at 4:30 a.m., with the exception of KRNV 4 in Reno.

It’s now a brighter Good Morning for KOLO 8 in the BIGGEST little city in the world.
