WBNS will expand it’s Sunday morning newscast starting this Sunday.

WBNS-TV 10 / Columbus (“10TV”)

WBNS will be adding more news on weekends, actually: ONLY on Sundays.

WBNS 10TV (using 10TV because I like that branding, fits perfectly with the station) has announced that it will expand it’s Sunday morning newscast, starting this Sunday November 30th. 10TV News Weekend, as the newscast is currently known, will expand from it’s current Sunday morning news times of 6:30-8:30 a.m., to it’s new expanded times of 6:30-9:00 a.m. Yep, it’s only adding an extra half-hour of news.

This will now lead right into CBS News Sunday Morning, which will still be on at 9:00 a.m. and also lead into Face the Nation, Sunday’s #1 political talk/current affairs show, at 10:30 a.m. The program that was on before at 8:30 a.m., Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild, will now move to 11:30 a.m. for the new newscast expansion.

WBNS 10TV will now be able to fully compete against WTTE 28’s FOX 28 News Good Day Columbus at 8:00 a.m. for news in that timeslot on Sunday mornings. GDC on WTTE 28 is produced by it’s sister station, WSYX 6, which produces all newscasts for WTTE 28.

Newer. Fresher. More Up-to-the-Minute. More Sunday Morning News on 10TV.
