FIRST ON THE BLOG: More weeknight news is coming to Western Nevada, thanks to KRNV.
Starting December 15th, KRNV 4 will expand the weeknight half-hour 6:00 p.m. newscast to an hour and will now be called News 4 Nightly. Heard of the title before? How about KSNV 3’s News 3 Nightly.
Anyways, the 6:00 p.m. newscast will be accompanied by a new half-hour of news at 6:30 p.m. and will join KTVN 2 and KOLO 8 for local news at 6:30 p.m. on weeknights. KRNV 4 carries the area’s ONLY weeknight local newscast at 6:00 p.m., making it the ONLY hour-long 6:00 p.m. newscast as KTVN 2 and KOLO 8 carry an hour-long newscast at 5:00 and 5:30 p.m.
KRNV 4 is expanding its 6:00 p.m. newscast, due to the cancellation of Ralston Reports, hosted by Jon Ralston, in which KRNV 4 also carried alongside KSNV 3.
You’ll be seeing more of News 4 on weeknights, starting December 15th on KRNV Channel 4.
