BREAKING: WISH to affiliate with The CW, creating more Indy TV drama.

WISH-TV 8 / Indianapolis (“WISH-TV 8”)
The CW Television Network

Looks like WISH-TV is not going Independent after all, as what we were all hoping for since the summer when WISH-TV wasn’t renewing its CBS affiliation. Here is WISH-TV’s newest affiliation… The CW Television Network.

That’s right. Starting January 1st, WISH-TV 8 will be affiliated with The CW. That means, programs like The Vampire DiariesReignJane The VirginWhose Line Is It Anyway?, The Flash, etc. It will also be the home to all the iHeartRadio TV specials for The CW, which includes what they were showing tonight, The 2014 iHeartRadio/Z100 Jingle Ball at MSG in NYC (which took place on 12/12/14). What this also means is that the schedule for WISH-TV 8 has been modified to accommodate The CW’s daytime (The Bill Cunningham Show) and primetime shows.

WISH-TV 8’s President and General Manager, Les Vann:

“We welcome The CW Network to our primetime. This original and dynamic line-up of programming will drive new audiences to WISH-TV and our newscasts and deliver key demographics to our advertisers.”

As if we didn’t need any more Indianapolis TV drama, we just got more. Plus, it gives WISH-TV 8, a partner instead of leaving it as Independent. Here it comes… WISH-TV and The CW, starting January 1st, 2015.
