WBRC moves its weekend morning newscast, back 1 hour.

WBRC 6 / Birmingham – Tuscaloosa – Anniston (“FOX 6”)

FIRST ON THE BLOG: It looks like WBRC has moved back one of their newscasts.

WBRC 6 has recently moved its weekend morning newscast, back 1 hour. The program currently known as FOX 6 News Saturday/Sunday, was on from 7:00-9:00 a.m. but is now currently on from 6:00-8:00 a.m., moving back an hour.

The program now provides a small advantage as WBRC 6 is now the only ones on at 6:00 a.m. on Saturdays, but not on Sundays as it competes with WVTM 13’s Alabama’s 13 News Today in Alabama at 6:00 a.m. It’s also 1 of 3 only newscasts that WBRC 6 produces on weekends, alongside FOX 6 News at 9:00 and FOX 6 News at 10:00 (which has been produced since the station’s days as an ABC affiliate).

This one is interesting, but come on. This is WBRC 6, #1 in Central Alabama.
