Newscasts debuting this week… Edition #20.

KTVU 2 / Oakland – San Francisco – San Jose (“KTVU FOX 2”)
WTVW 7 / Evansville, IN – Owensboro, KY (“Local 7 CW”)

Another week of local newscasts debuting this week. Here’s that list and if you’re unfamiliar with our lists, we list this by day and in time order by Eastern Time Zone, where this blog’s headquarters are located.

Monday June 22nd, 2015:

  • 8:00-9:00 AM: WTVW Local 7 Eyewitness News Daybreak at 8:00 a.m.

WTVW in Evansville. The program, FINALLY, expands to another hour at 8:00 a.m., becoming the only local newscast on in that timeslot and it will be replacing the Local 7 Lifestlyes program where it was before. UPDATE: The program moves to its sister station WEHT 25 on June 29th, 2015, not June 22nd, 2015, like first reported, at 11:00 a.m. The program will remain as an hour-long program and will be renamed to WEHT Local Lifestyles. The new hour-long morning newscast will remain anchored by Greg Parker and Shelley Kirk, while Laura Kirtley will remain with WEHT Local Lifestlyes, when it premieres next week, not this week like first reported.

  • 4:00-5:00 PM: KTVU FOX 2 News at 4:00

KTVU in San Francisco. KTVU 2 will become the FIRST FOX O&O station, since former FOX O&O WFXT 25 aired a half-hour 4:30 p.m. newscast in 2002, to air a local newscast at 4:00 p.m. Most FOX O&O stations start their local newscasts at 5:00 p.m. The new newscast will be anchored by Mike Mibach and Keba Arnold.

So there you go, America. If any more newscasts debuted this week, we will let you know. Have a great week and I hope you enjoyed your Father’s Day with your family/families.
