KFJX 14 / Pittsburg, KS – Joplin, MO (“FOX 14”)

FIRST ON THE BLOG: A small change to report from The 4 States Area (Joplin, MO – Pittsburg, KS).

KFJX 14 has recently expanded their weekend 9:00 p.m. newscast to an hour. FOX 14 News at 9:00 is now seen for an hour, 7 nights a week and making it the ONLY TV station, that’s available in any Kansas area, to air an hour-long primetime newscast, 7 nights a week as KSNT 27 (NBC) on KTMJ-CD 43 (FOX) in Topeka, KSNW 3 (NBC) on KSAS 24 (FOX) and KWCH 12 (CBS) on KSCW 33 (CW) in Wichita all carry half-hour primetime newscasts at 9:00 p.m., 7 nights a week.

The newscast is produced sister station under SSA, Saga Communications-owned KOAM 7 (CBS), which produces the newscast under a different studio from their main one.

There are some more major additions or expansions to tell you today, so stay tuned!

  1. The Joplin TV Market needs to get local morning news at 5:00 am their TV Market is stuck in time. A least one TV station should get morning news at 5:00 am. The Joplin TV Market local morning news still starts its news at the outdated time of 5:30 am.
