KXRM is adding a weeknight half-hour 10:00 p.m. newscast.

KXRM-TV 21 / Colorado Springs – Pueblo (“FOX 21”)

FIRST ON THE BLOG: If you’re looking for another alternative for weeknight news at 10:00pm in Southern Colorado, then look no further. KXRM is about to give you that alternative.

Starting Monday January 18th, KXRM 21 will add a half-hour weeknight-ONLY 10:00pm newscast to its newscast schedule. FOX 21 News at 10:00 will now compliment the station’s existing hour-long weeknight 9:00pm newscast and will now run its late-night news block on weeknights from 9:00-10:30pm. The newscast is scheduled to run against the BIG three stations in Southern Colorado with already-established 10:00pm newscasts: Cordillera-owned KOAA 5 (NBC)’s News 5 at 10:00, Gray-owned KKTV 11 (CBS)’s KKTV 11 News at 10:00 and NP&G-owned KRDO 13 (ABC)’s KRDO NewsChannel 13 at 10:00.

I tried to get in hold of KXRM 21 on their Facebook to find out who will deliver the news and weather on their broadcast, but they will not tell me. I do know that the newscast will be anchored by Joe Cole and Lauren Ferrara with Weather from Meteorologist Jeff Womack. KXRM 21 currently doesn’t have its own in-house sports department.

I still got what I needed, KXRM 21, so watch out! If you won’t tell me, then I will myself through some research. Haha! Anyways in all seriousness, congrats on finally expanding your news department. I have a feeling there’s gonna be more on the way from KXRM 21.
