Newscasts debuting this week… Edition #39.

Not a big of a list as last week’s but its still a good one, I promise you. Anyways, here’s this week’s list and again, by day, market and time order (in Eastern Time Zone)

Monday January 18th, 2016

  • 8:00-9:00 AM: KFOX 14 Morning News at 8:00 a.m.

KFOX in El Paso. The morning newscast finally expands to a full 4 hours and becomes The Borderland’s first-ever 4-hour morning newscast. Longtime KFOX 14 anchor John Purvis will anchor the expanded hour with Kezhal Dashti and Weather from Brad Montgomery.

  • 5:00-6:00 PM: WCJB-TV 20 News – 5:00 LIVE

WCJB in Gainesville. The station expands its early-evening news coverage to 5:00pm for the first time and will provide Gainesville’s ONLY 90-minute local news block from 5:00-6:30pm.

  • 9:30-10:00 PM: CBS 58 News at 9:30 on The M

WMLW in Milwaukee. The station expands to a full hour with another half-hour at 9:30pm, 7 nights a week, which will now be able to compete in full with WITI 6 (FOX)’s hour-long 9:00pm newscast.

  • 11:00-11:30 PM: FOX 2 News at 11:00

KTVI in St. Louis. The station goes into rare territory by offering the time zone’s ONLY 11:00pm newscast with KTVI 2 veteran Shirley Washington and newcomer Jasmine Huda.

  • 10:00-10:30 PM: FOX 21 News at 10:00

KXRM in Colorado Springs. Even though its weeknights only, it becomes the fourth station in the market to do so and makes both news-producing FOX stations in Colorado with weeknight 10:00pm newscasts.
