If you’re looking for more news to get ready for your new work week in Western Carolinas, then get ready. WYFF will provide that for you…
Starting this Sunday February 21st, WYFF 4 is expanding its Sunday night newscast at 11:00pm to an hour. The Sunday edition of WYFF News 4 at 11:00 will now go on for a full hour from 11:00pm-12:00am and become the ONLY station in the area to expand to an hour on Sundays or on any weekend day for that matter.
WYFF 4’s President and General Manager, John Soapes:
“WYFF 4 is a proven news leader and this just builds on the great strength we already have on the weekends. We know that more people are looking to us as their overall news source. We’re excited about the expansion of the Sunday night newscast to midnight.”
WYFF 4’s News Director, Bruce Barkley:
“We know that local news is very important to our viewers. And, more people are watching news on the weekends. We’ll be able to give our viewers a comprehensive look at what happened over the weekend and the in-depth local news coverage that they expect from WYFF News 4.”
The newscast will continued to be anchored by WYFF 4’s weekend evening news team: Anchor Mike McCormick, LIVE SuperDoppler 4 Weather with AMS-CBM/Sealed Meteorologist Chris Justus and Sports with Marc Dopher.
Matter of Fact with Fernando Espuelas from the company that owns WYFF 4: Hearst Television’s political talk show, will continue to follow the Sunday 11:00pm newscast, but will be pushed back by a half-hour and will start at 12:00 Midnight.
So in a rare timeslot, but one that’s becoming more common, WYFF 4 is going to 11:30pm… on Sundays though. Enjoy, Western Carolinas.
