Yep. Just two newscasts debuting this week. Its slow months here at the blog but its only because of summer. Wait till the fall and you’ll be seeing a lot of newscasts debuting, especially in September. For now though, we got two debuting this week including a return for one.

Monday June 27th, 2016

  • 11:00 AM-12:00 PM: ABC 7 Eyewitness News Midday

WLS in Chicago. The station will be airing an hour-long midday newscast at 11:00am and will do so again for the first time since 2013. Terrell Brown and Judy Hsu will anchor the second era of this midday newscast.

  •  9:00-9:30 PM: CW 55 News at 9:00

WFNA in Mobile – Pensacola. The station is adding its first-ever local newscast and will do so at 9:00 p.m. weeknights, the fourth such newscast in the market. The newscast will be produced by their sister station, WKRG 5 (CBS).

See, just two newscasts for this week. That’s all for this week. If there are any more changes, keep an eye on our social media channels for more information.

Stay tuned to tomorrow. I have a special EXCLUSIVE report on WHAG 25 that you don’t want to miss. Hint: its about their news. You’ll find out why when you stop by and read the blog tomorrow. Have a great week!

    • Yes, I know it’s at 11am and not Midday. For me, personally, that’s been the way I’ve been calling the 11am hour in TV news is, as Midday because then I’ll be confusing myself with the 11am and 11pm and so to differentiate myself, I always call the 11am hour as midday and the 12pm hour as noon, even though WLS will say at 11am. It probably won’t make sense to you, but that’s how I’ve always saw it.
