FIRST ON THE BLOG: There has been a few minor changes made to a television duopoly in an Idaho area that’s currently known as the Magic Valley.
Just recently (I don’t know when this happened), KMVT 11 has expanded its weekday morning newscast to a full two hours, starting a half-hour earlier now at 5:00am. The newscast, currently known as Idaho’s First News – Rise and Shine Southern Idaho, airs on KMVT 11 from 5:00-7:00am and then repeats in its entirety on KSVT 14, its sister station carrying FOX and My Network TV, from 7:00-9:00am.
The noon newscast used to be seen on both KMVT 11 and KSVT 14, but the newscast is now solely seen on KMVT 11. The 5:00pm newscast moved from KSVT 14 to KMVT 11 and that station now carries both early-evening newscasts.
The rest remains unchanged as the weeknight 6:00pm (KMVT 11) and the nightly 9:00 (KSVT 14) and 10:00pm (KMVT 11) newscasts remain where they’ve always been. The newscasts on this duopoly are known as Idaho’s First News.
Other than that, there are no other major additions or expansions to report on at this time.
