FIRST ON THE BLOG: Some small changes to report on this post and I have plenty to post today but I’ll do two stations at a time. In this post, one has added a newscast and another has shortened it.
Just recently, WMUR 9 has added a 10:00pm half-hour weekend edition for its second digital subchannel, also known as Me-TV New Hampshire. WMUR News 9 at 10:00 on Me-TV New Hampshire is now seen 7 nights a week on WMUR 9.2 and competes against the half-hour weekend newscast seen on WBIN 50 (Ind) in terms of New Hampshire TV news and in terms of the market overall, including Boston, it competes against WCVB 5 (ABC)’s half-hour 10:00pm newscast for its second digital subchannel, Me-TV Boston, against WHDH 7 (NBC)’s hour-long 10:00pm newscast on its sister station WLVI 56 (CW) and against WFXT 25 (FOX)’s already-established and popular hour-long 10:00pm newscast.
And this one is a shortened one. Since Monday September 12th, WPMI 15 has decided to cut its hour-long noon newscast in half and now airs as a half-hour noon newscast from 12:00-12:30pm. Local 15 News at Noon now competes in full against WKRG 5 (CBS)’s half-hour noon newscast for local news at that timeslot in the market. They’ve done so to air a new lifestyle/talk show called Gulf Coast Today which now airs at 12:30pm and airs as a repeat on weeknights at 5:30pm on its sister station, WJTC 44 (Ind.)
Stay tuned. There are plenty of more news to post and read throughout the day and night so stick around!
