Newscasts debuting this week… Edition #61.

It’s been a while since I’ve done this but in reality, we do have a list for this week! Surprise!!! If you have forgotten how this works, we do it by day and time order and if a tie… market size.

Tuesday November 8th, 2016 (Election Day 2016)

  • 4:30-5:00 AM: ABC 21 Morning News at 4:30 a.m.

WPTA in Fort Wayne. The station has just rebranded itself and will soon offer more news in the morning, 7 days a week. It beings with the expanded weekday morning newscast which will start a half-hour earlier.

Wednesday November 9th, 2016

  • 4:00-4:30 PM: NewsCenter 5 at 4:00

WCVB in Boston. Not really new, but more considered as a half-hour shift from 4:30 to 4:00pm. It will debut as a half-hour newscast at 4:00 on Wednesday after a temporary expanded hour-long 4:00pm newscast later today and tomorrow for general election coverage and other news.

Thursday November 10th, 2016

  • 4:30-5:00 AM: NBC Boston Today at 4:30 a.m.
  • 5:00-6:00 AM: NBC Boston Today at 5:00 a.m.
  • 6:00-7:00 AM: NBC Boston Today at 6:00 a.m.
  • 12:00-12:30 PM: NBC Boston NOW at Noon
  • 4:00-5:00 PM: NBC Boston at 4:00
  • 5:00-6:00 PM: NBC Boston at 5:00
  • 6:00-6:30 PM: NBC Boston at 6:00
  • 7:00-7:30 PM: NBC Boston at 7:00
  • 11:00-11:35 PM: NBC Boston TONIGHT at 11:00

WBTS in Boston. The “soft launch” debuts on Thursday, meaning that it’ll just be local news, local programming and syndicated programming with a countdown clock at other times. The rest, including all NBC programming, will debut on Sunday January 1st, 2017.
