FIRST ON THE BLOG: A small change to talk about from West Michigan.
Just recently, WXMI 17 has expanded its weekday morning newscast to start a half-hour earlier. FOX 17 Morning News on weekdays is now on air from 4:30-9:00 a.m., the longest morning newscast in the area (in terms of time). It becomes the last station in the market to add a newscast at that timeslot and now joins the BIG Three in doing so: against WWMT 3 (CBS/CW), WOOD 8 (NBC) and WZZM 13 (ABC).
No change to the weekend morning news as that will remain 5:00-9:00 a.m. (also the longest morning newscast in the area in terms of time as well.)
Other than this, there are no other major additions or expansions to report on at this time. (Tomorrow as of this post, KTLA 5 in Los Angeles will add another hour of its popular Morning News and will now run on weekdays from 4:00-11:00 a.m.)
