A small minor newscast change… #209.

WDAF-TV 4 / Kansas City (“FOX 4 Kansas City”)

FIRST ON THE BLOG: A small expansion is taking place tomorrow from the Kansas City market.

Starting tomorrow, Sunday, May 27th, WDAF 4 will be adding an extra half-hour to its Sunday morning newscast. It will now start at 6:30 a.m. and the newscast will now air for two-and-a-half hours from 6:30-9:00 a.m. In terms of competition, the half-hour will now compete against the latter half of KSHB 41 (NBC)’s Sunday morning 6:00 a.m. newscast for local morning news at that time in the market.

WDAF 4 is now a half-hour shy of tying KMBC 9 (ABC) for having the most hours of Sunday morning news in the market as KMBC 9 offers three hours (5:00-6:00 and 7:00-9:00 a.m.) on both Saturdays and Sundays.

Other than that, there are no other major additions or expansions to report on at this time.
