FIRST ON THE BLOG: More small changes to report from two more different markets in this country.
WLBT 3 has recently expanded its midday noon newscast to a full hour with an extra half-hour of news at 12:30 p.m. WLBT 3 – The 12:30 p.m. Report replaces their longtime lifestyle/talk show, Midday Mississippi. WLBT now airs the area’s ONLY hour-long noon newscast (WJTV 12 – CBS airs a half-hour noon newscast.)
Another change to report is KERO 23. They just recently added a weeknight half-hour 7:00 p.m. newscast called 23 ABC News – The NOW Bakersfield and yes, following The NOW format that other Scripps stations have recently added. Another change KERO made is adding a half-hour 6:30 p.m. newscast on Sundays to lead into ABC Primetime programming. It doesn’t air one on weekdays due to The List from Scripps and on Saturdays due to airing a weekend edition of Extra.
That’s all the changes from here. There is yet another small change to note but its on a duopoly in Virginia. That’ll be detailed in our next report so stay tuned.
