There’s more news on WSPA and WHNS. Here’s why…

WSPA-TV 7 / Spartanburg – Greenville – Anderson, SC – Asheville, NC (“7 On Your Side”)
WHNS 21 / Greenville – Spartanburg – Anderson, SC – Asheville, NC (“FOX Carolina”)

FIRST ON THE BLOG: Now there are more expansions to news in Western Carolinas.

First off, WSPA 7 has expanded 7 On Your Side Daybreak to 4:30 a.m., making it the 3rd station in the area (after WYFF 4 and WLOS 13) to expand to 4:30 a.m. WHNS 21 is still the ONLY one to start at 5:00 a.m. But speaking of WHNS 21…

… WHNS 21 has recently expanded it’s weekday morning newscast to the 9:00 a.m. hour. The FOX Carolina Morning News is now broadcast from 5:00-10:00 a.m. and becomes the ONLY station to broadcast from 7:00-10:00 a.m. The 9:00 a.m. hour marks a return for the area, as WLOS 13 used to broadcast a 9:00 a.m. hour for WMYA 40, but was later canceled in 2013.

Great things are happening in Western Carolinas, indeed.
