FIRST ON THE BLOG: There has been a move involving one of the Susquehanna Valley’s primetime newscasts.
Just recently, WLYH 15, the CW station in the Susquehanna Valley, has stopped airing the CW in favor of Grit TV on 15.1 with The CW moving to WHP 21’s third digital subchannel on WHP 21.3, now known as The CW Central PA.
Because of the move, WHP 21’s nightly 10:00pm newscast has been moved as well. The newscast is now seen, as I just mentioned, on WHP 21’s third digital subchannel, WHP 21.3. CBS 21 News at 10:00 on The CW Central PA is anchored on weeknights by Robb Hanrahan and Tanya Foster, but is broadcast 7 days a week for a half-hour on the digital subchannel.
There are huge and major changes in the Augusta market. I will detail them all in my next report, so stay tuned!
I wonder if WHP-TV or the Whip will ever get a noon newscast. WHP or the Whip is one of the few CBS stations without a noon newscast.

Nope. Nobody watches them when you have 1,000-pound gorilla WGAL 8 beating everybody in the Susquehanna Valley.

KRQE-TV 13 in my city of Albuquerque is the 1,000 pound gorilla because they have news 3 stations KRQE-TV 13, KASA-TV 2, and KWBQ-TV 19 and broadcasts the most hours of local news in the ABQ TV Market putting KOB-TV and KOAT-TV news to shame.

Actually… the 1,000-pound gorilla in your market is KOAT 7 since they are the most-watched local news station in New Mexico.

KOAT needs to improve badly expand their news with either noon or 4:00pm news. I am optimistic they will soon expand local news on KOAT since KOAT is owned by Hearst and Hearst stations having been expanding local news on their stations lately.

And the amount of local newz KOAT has sucks compared to what KRQE and even KOB have.
