FIRST ON THE BLOG: As if I didn’t know that either. Weeks ago, we learned that KWTV 9 added Saturday news at 6:30 p.m. NOW, the same thing has happened to KOTV 6 in Tulsa.
KOTV 6 has added a 6:30 p.m. Saturday newscast and this has been on since July as the former program that was on, Discover Oklahoma, which is produced by the Oklahoma Department of Travel and Tourism, moved to KTUL 8. Just like KWTV 9, KOTV 6 broadcasts the ONLY local newscast, on at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday nights in Tulsa.
I was unaware of this until now. Btw, I have some more news about KOTV 6’s owner, Griffin Communications, that could impact the news landscape in O.K.C. More details in the next post.
